Congress. House Bill 583 was introduced by Representative Mike Doyle (D-PA). The new name of the CARE bill is the "C
onsistency, Accuracy, R
esponsibility, and Excellence (CARE)
in Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy" bill. Currently the bill has already gained 6 co-sponsors. The current bill is the same as S.B. 2322 which was passed by the Senate in the 109th
Congress last year. Senators Kennedy and Enzi are again working on the Senate version of the bill and will hopefully introduce it by the end of the month.Please contact your Senators and
