OSRT trustees and committee chairs meet quarterly to conduct the business of the Society and to review pertinent committee activities. The following information is posted for member review and comment. Also see the Board of Trustees' Report and the Presidential Acceptance Address.
Legislative/Membership/Budget Issues: Member renewal notices are continually generated.
In an era of declining professional memberships, it is important to remember that two OSRT revenue streams exist:
1. Annual meeting/continuing education seminar revenues Income from these primary revenue sources is used to support OSRT actions regarding health and legislative policy-making in the State of Ohio. OSRT contracts the services of Mr. Fred Vierow, as legislative
consultant, who assists OSRT in actively establishing important relations with members of the Ohio legislature and provides the OSRT Board with important legislative perspectives and advice. The health policy initiative
for OSRT is a significant fiscal commitment highly dependent on OSRT member support! In terms of its health policy mission, OSRT proactively monitors and reacts to important Ohio legislative actions that impact all
Ohio radiologic science professionals. OSRT also supports the ASRT regarding national/federal issues. The OSRT board is currently investigating the feasibility of establishing a PAC
(Political Action Committee) as a separate OSRT entity. OSRT Strategic Planning Committee: In light of increased legislative actions in Ohio and at the federal levels, the OSRT board approved committee recommendations to revise the OSRT Vision and Mission.
