President-elect Board of Director Nominee: Donna Endicott
Hello my name is Donna Endicott and I am running for President-Elect. I have been in the field for the past 38 years working in the areas of diagnostic x-ray, mammography, special procedures and education. Currently, I am the program director at Xavier University for the radiologic technology and MRI programs. In the past I was a co-chair for the quiz bowl committee, director for the board of directors and an ASRT radiography delegate. Currently, I am a director for the board of directors, co-chair for the educational committee and ASRT alternate affiliate delegate. I believe our society has several challenges facing us in the coming years. OSRT Membership is important for radiologic technologist as it demonstrates pride in our profession. Increasing the membership numbers will demonstrate to state leaders we care about our profession. If we do not believe our knowledge in patient care, radiation protection, image quality and positioning is beneficial when examining patients our state leaders won’t either. The OSRT would like to be of assistance to technologist as they prepare for the new ARRT continuing qualification requirements. What learning experience will work for technologist? I would be honored to serve you if elected President-Elect.

Board of Director Nominee: Bridget Spinney
My name is Bridget Spinney and I am applying for the Board of Directors position. I have been a member of the OSRT organization for three years and the ASRT for two years. During this time I was on the annual meeting committee, a presenter, and room moderator. While obtaining my bachelor’s degree I met some amazing mentors that were part of the OSRT society. Their experience, expertise and fulfillment from serving on the committees drew me to getting more involved in my profession. I believe that by servicing on the Board of Directors I can reach out to the professionals in the education field but also those in patient care areas. Most recently I approached two of my employees about joining the OSRT and presenting at the annual conference. They were excited to share their experiences with others that might be interested in the field of vascular intervention. I am involved in our hospital process improvement initiatives and work closely with hospital managers, directors and executives on organizational leadership projects and involve my staff in creating that same organization growth. I believe I could be a great asset to the board and bring a hospital perspective to the organization. Sincerely, Bridget Spinney

Technologist of the Year Award Nominee: Sheryl Bacon
I have known Ms. Bacon for many, many years through her dedicated service in OSRT. As a graduate of NCCCH School of Radiologic Technology and Kent State University, Sheryl Bacon began her career as a Radiographer at Salem Community Hospital. She served in a number of job roles for 30 years in various management capacities of the department. Following hospital retirement, she taught at Marion Technical College. Sheryl has now retired from her teaching position and since 2009 has served as the OSRT Executive Secretary. Sheryl was honored in 2011 as the OSRT Penn-Hu-Mac-Par Lecturer. Ms. Bacon, over many years, has provided volunteer service to OSRT in multiple capacities, including President and Chairperson of the Board of Directors. As Executive Secretary, she has been diligent in effectively providing improved management of OSRT as well as its Foundation. Over this past year, Sheryl has provided invaluable support services during the adoption of a new and dynamic Web site. She has invested hundreds of hours of work in the implementation phase of the new site. The Web editors now consider Sheryl to be an essential member of the team. It is for this “significant above and beyond vital work effort” that I believe Ms. Bacon deserves the 2015 Technologist of the Year Award.

Technologist of the Year Award Nominee: Heather Moore
I have known Ms. Moore for the past 10 years.  My history with Heather has been extremely positive. I believe she brings the qualities, characteristics and professional experiences that fulfills the criteria for RT of the Year Award. As professional colleagues in Ohio, Ms. Moore and I have collaborated in multiple initiatives in the educational and professional arenas. She consistently demonstrates passion, loyalty, dedication and, always demonstrates strong leadership qualities. She has long years of service to both OSRT and the ASRT. She consistently served over 10 years in key voluntary OSRT Board of Directors. Because of the quality of her work, her dedication to the profession, and because she demonstrates strong intrinsic motivation, she has been elected to serve in multiple elected positions within OSRT. Her service is so special that she has recently been elected to serve a second term of office as Chair of the OSRT Foundation Board and recently completed a special two-year appointment as Chair of the Board of Directors for the business division of OSRT. These unusual repeated service appointments are unique and special and are based on Heather’s outstanding performance, and atypical dedicated service to the profession and organization.
