Better Medicine Through Collaboration

The survey is to attempt to quantify the amount of time technologists, managers, or directors spend on QC tasks. In the profession, we are faced with this question frequently and we do not really understand how much time is spent performing QC (setup, recording results), following up on QC/QA issues (e.g., service issues), reviewing QC and preparing for inspections. We are trying to identify how much time could be saved if all QC tasks and all of the data were available electronically, and within a single application. Of course, time is money so, as reimbursements are shifting, we'd like to know how much all of QC performance, follow up and preparation is costing our healthcare system and how much can be saved.
