ARRT is writing to inform you about additional changes to the governing documents recommended by ARRT’s Board of Trustees. You are invited to participate in the Call for Comments process. In 2026, ARRT will be adding a new eligibility pathway for radiology practitioner assistants (RPAs), certified by the Certification Board for Radiology Practitioner Assistants (CBRPA), to take the Registered Radiology Assistant (R.R.A.) exam.

As a result of this new eligibility pathway, ARRT is updating the following governing documents: ARRT Rules and Regulations and Examination Requirements for Obtaining Certification and Registration. This ia a new new opportunity for RPAs. To learn more about the proposed changes and provide feedback, click for the survey. All are welcome to review and comment on the changes.

Please complete the survey by March 2 at 11:59 p.m. CT.  Upon review of feedback and approval by the Board of Trustees in March, all updated governing documents will be published on the ARRT website in spring 2026.
