Colleagues gathered for the 84th OSRT Annual Meeting Friday and Saturday, September 26 & 27, 2025, at the UC Raymond Walters campus in Cincinnati, Ohio. Scheduled presentations included 1st class CE topics suitable for various imaging practice disciplines. Technologists from all disciplines earned the potential of 10 Category A CE credits in the two-day conference. Presentations included a wide range of topics like Your Preferred Energy, Molecular Perspectives in Breast Cancer, Cincinnati's Radiology History, Rare Diseases, Trauma and Interventional Radiology, Movement and Stretch without Pain, and more. It was a diverse schedule of topics and each presenter effectively informed attendees.
The Francine Todd Memorial Business Session was held for action on a variety of issues. Dr. Heather Moore, as ASRT"s Chair of the Board of Directors, offered greetings to Ohio from ASRT. Heather is one of our own! She is a buckeye and we are proud of her--pictured below! Dr. Julie Gill, OSRT Board Chair, presented the annual board chair report--see report link below. New board directors were installed--Director Tammy McClish, Director Andy Shappell, and President-elect Andrea Tschirner. The whole board is pictured below. Tiffany Roman was installed as OSRT President. Tiffany presented her presidential acceptance address--see link below.
The honor of this year's OSRT Past President’s Lecturer was bestowed upon and Emma Palmer--pictured below. The title of her lecture was "The Syllabus of Life." Emma started her OSRT experience as a student director--another member for whom we are proud! This year, the first class of four technologists were elevated to OSRT Fellow. This distinction is reserved for those who have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to excellence, service, and leadership within our profession. Those elevated in the inaugural class are Jan Gibson, Tracy Hermann, Linnea Hopewell, and Denise Moore--pictured below. Congratulations to all and thank you for your years of dedicated service to OSRT! Two members were awarded with OSRT Life Membership--Jan Gibson of Warren and Gloria Albrecht of Cleveland--pictured below. They both have an exemplary service record in the Society--thank you for your dedication to the Society and the profession! The OSRT Foundation (OSRTERF) awarded two grants. Brandon Reisinger, was awarded the Philip W. Ballinger Grant of $1000.00. Brandon is completing a Masters Program in Medical Dosimetry. The other grant went to Leigha Wine who was awarded the Ohio Radiological Society (ORS) Technologist/Therapist grant of $600.00. Leigha is completing a Radiation Therapy program. Remember, the OSRTERF offers grant awards and sponsors annual competitions so check them out.
Congratulations to graduates of the 2025 OSRT Leadership Academy: Ms. Tracy Boggs, Angela Lee, Ms. Lauren Ward, and Students Ms. Jennifer Allen, Mr. Ashton Cooper, and Ms. Brynn Myers.
