Colleagues gathered for the 85th OSRT Annual Meeting Friday and Saturday, September 25 & 26, 2026, at the Cleveleand Clinic Mercy Hospital in Canton, Ohio. Scheduled presentations included 1st class CE topics suitable for various imaging practice disciplines. Technologists from all disciplines earned the potential of 9.25 Category A CE credits in the two-day conference. Presentations included a wide range of topics like Images behind the SMoke: X-posing Dangers of Tobasso, Cannabis and Vaping, Builkding a Compliant Radiation Safety Program, Selection of a Handheld X-ray System for Spaceflight and Space Medicine, CT Contrast Enhancement Varies From Fixed Protocols to a Personalized Mindset, to Dealing with Agressive and Angry Patients, and more. It was a diverse schedule of topics and each presenter effectively engaged with attendees.
The Francine Todd Memorial Business Session was held for action on a variety of issues. Ms. Kris Seitz, OSRT Board Chair presented the annual board report. New board directors were installed--new Director Thomas Folck, and Student Director Illyas Nur. In addition, Andrea Tschirner was installed as OSRT President. Andrea presented her presidential acceptance address.
The honor of this year's OSRT Past President’s Lecturer was bestowed upon and Gary Greathouse--pictured below. The title of his lecture was "Servent Leadership: Leading by Example" Gary was instrumental in establishing the OSRTFellows Program. Two technologists were elevated to Fellows this year, Terri Bruckner who serves on the OSRT Foundation Board, and Heather Moore who served as past presdient of the ASRT and was the most recent chair of the ASRT board. The distinction as Fellow is reserved for those who have demonstrated an unwavering commitment to excellence, service, and leadership within our profession. Congratulations to both new Fellows and your years of dedicated service to our profession is much appreciated.
The OSRT Foundation (OSRTERF) awarded Denise Moore as the first-place winner of the Technologist and Therapist Case Study Competition. Denise's topic was Osteoarthritis of the Hands and Wrist, A Case Study Using Low-Dose Radiation Therapy. The OSRTERF offers grant awards and sponsors annual competitions, so check them out.

The OSRT Annual Meeting for 2027 will be virtual and will only include the OSRT Francine Todd Memorial Business Session and one CE presentation. The board voted to alter the format for the 2027 Annual Meeting as a way to transition back to sponsoring only one major meeting each year to be held each spring in conjunction with the Student and Educator Symposium.
